Client Brief
Morgan Stewart were approached by an interior designer we had worked with on other projects. Their client required private office space.
The client was CEO of a specialist furniture supply company, knowledgeable and clear on requirements. A well defined desk space, a comfortable seating area, a meeting table and ample but not too evident storage.
Design & Planning
Creating a single office in a quite small space, compared to a commercial environment, may seem a brief task. In reality, careful planning matters, to use every part well and see they work together.
Several options were considered for office fitting, a decision soon made that Archiutti furniture would sit well with items chosen for seating and lighting.
Apart from being of exceptional quality, their input allowed for creating bespoke elements to perfectly fit the available space.
Areas Furnished
The central seating area was furnished in cream leather. Red leather chairs chosen for the meeting table, the contrast defining the sections. The table itself in black laquer, to match the overall approach.
Wall and Storage – Personal storage at the desk side and full width storage units at either end of the room were in black laquer. A bespoke system built in the same material to cover the rear wall.
Executive Desk – The desk was manufactured with a black glass surface and full length ebony side panels, the framework of the desk and other fitments were in polished aluminium.
Additional Touches – Handles and other fittings were also in polished aluminium, a toning rug defined the seating area, ample overall and dedicated lighting available for each section.
This executive home office had been created with relatively few materials and tones, yet felt accomplished. A satisfying place to work and a multi purpose environment, which we understand the client found to be valuable.
